Timothy Wirt, M.D., raised in Lansing, Michigan, joined the Front Range Center for Brain & Spine Surgery, P.C. in 1980 after completing his surgical internship and his neurosurgical residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital. He earned his M.D. degree in 1974 from the University of Michigan. Dr. Wirt became a certified member of the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1982 and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1984.

Dr. Wirt is the most amazing doc I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. He is very knowledgeable about his field of work, he made me feel very comfortable and he took my fear of surgery away. I would recommend that anyone considering back surgery got to front range brain and spine to see Dr. Timothy Wirt. Dr. Wirt performed a laminectomy on my spine. I had immediate relief from the pain in my right leg. At three weeks out from surgery I am fully functional in my routine conditioning and aerobic activities and am looking forward to my renewed quality of life and function. :-). Thank you!!!!! I called to make an appointment with Dr. Wirt and got an appointment the next day, I drove 240 miles for the appointment and met with Dr. Wirt the following day. He reviewed my MRI and said he could do a lumbar laminectomy the following day and this would relieve my pain. I had the surgery done at the Surgery Center and was extremely pleased with everyone from check in to recovery. A great group of people. Dr. Wirt and his Nurse Lois are amazing. I had a wonderful experience at the Front Range Center for Brain and Spine Surgery. Dr. Wirt suggested back surgery for my lumbar spinal stenosis that I had been suffering from for years, and physical therapy wasn’t working. Not more than 3 weeks later I was in outpatient surgery at the Surgery Center of Fort Collins with Dr. Wirt, getting a lumbar laminectomy. After the surgery, I was up an walking within an hour or so, and was able to go home around lunch time (with help, of course). It is now 8 weeks later and I am pain-free in the lumbar region where I had the surgery. Dr. Wirt indicated beforehand that this would be the case, and I am very thankful to him for giving me my life back. I highly recommend the Front Range Center for Brain and Spine Surgery. If you are experiencing neck or back pain, you must schedule a visit to the Front Range Center for Brain and Spine Surgery. Dr. Wirt performed successful back surgery on me 33 years ago and I am still benefiting from his expertise. Recently, he helped relieve severe neck and upper back and did so non-surgically.
